My Flower Room is such a little place	A
Scarce twenty feet by nine yet in that space	A
I have met God yea many a radiant hour	B
Have talked with Him the All Embracing Cause	C
About His laws	D
And He has shown me in each vine and flower	B
Such miracles of power	B
That day by day this Flower Room of mine	E
Has come to be a shrine	E

Fed by the self same soil and atmosphere	F
Pale tender shoots appear	F
Rising to greet the light in that sweet room	G
One speeds to crimson bloom	G
One slowly creeps to unassuming grace	A
One climbs one trails	H
One drinks the light and moisture	B
One exhales	H
	-
Up through the earth together stem by stem	I
Two plants push swiftly in a floral race	H
Till one sends forth a blossom like a gem	I
And one gives only fragrance	H
In a seed	J
So small it scarce is felt within the hand	K
Lie hidden such delights	H
Of scents and sights	H
When by the elements of Nature freed	J
As Paradise must have at its command	K

From shapeless roots and ugly bulbous things	H
What gorgeous beauty springs	H
Such infinite variety appears	H
A hundred artists in a hundred years	H
Could never copy from the floral world	L
The marvels that in leaf and bud lie curled	L
Nor could the most colossal mind of man	M
Create one little seed of plant or vine	E
Without assistance from the First Great Plan	M
Without the aid divine	E

Who but a God	N
Could draw from light and moisture heat and cold	O
And fashion in earth's mould	O
A multitude of blooms to deck one sod	N
Who but a God	N
Not one man knows	H
Just why the bloom and fragrance of the rose	H
Or how its tints were blent	N
Or why the white Camelia without scent	N
Up through the same soil grows	H
Or how the daisy and the violet	N
And blades of grass first on wild meadows met	N
Not one not one man knows	H
The wisest but SUPPOSE	H
	-
This Flower Room of mine	E
Has come to be a shrine	E
And I go hence	H
Each day with larger faith and reverence	H
