Rhyme Scheme: ABABBBB CBCBBBB DBEBBBB FGGHIBJBKLMMKL NONPP

Oh thou mine other stronger partA
Whom yet I cannot hear or seeB
Come thou and take this loving heartA
That longs to yield its all to theeB
I call mine own oh come to meB
Love answer back I come to theeB
I come to theeB
-
This hungry heart so warm so largeC
Is far too great a care for meB
I have grown weary of the chargeC
I keep so sacredly for theeB
Come thou and take my heart from meB
Love answer back I come to theeB
I come to theeB
-
I am a weary waiting hereD
For one who tarries long from meB
Oh art thou far or art thou nearE
And must I still be sad for theeB
Or wilt thou straightway come to meB
Love answer I am near to theeB
I come to theeB
-
-
The melody so full of plaintive chordsF
Sobbed into silence echoing down the stringsG
Like voice of one who walks from us and singsG
Vivian had leaned upon the instrumentH
The while they sang But as he spoke those wordsI
Love I am near to thee I come to theeB
He turned his grand head slowly round and bentJ
His lustrous soulful speaking gaze on meB
And my young heart eager to own its kingK
Sent to my eyes a great glad trustful lightL
Of love and faith and hung upon my cheekM
Hope's rose hued flag There was no need to speakM
I crossed the room and knelt by Helen SingK
That song you sang a fragment of one nightL
Out on the porch beginning 'Praise me not '-
I whispered and her sweet and plaintive toneN
Rose low and tender as if she had caughtO
From some sad passing breeze and made her ownN
The echo of the wind harp's sighing strainP
Or the soft music of the falling rainP
