March Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBCDDEFFEGG| Like some reformer who with mien austere | A |
| Neglected dress and loud insistent tones | B |
| More rasping than the wrongs which she bemoans | B |
| Walks through the land and wearies all who hear | C |
| While yet we know the need of such reform | D |
| So comes unlovely March with wind and storm | D |
| To break the spell of winter and set free | E |
| The poisoned brooks and crocus beds oppressed | F |
| Severe of face gaunt armed and wildly dressed | F |
| She is not fair nor beautiful to see | E |
| But merry April and sweet smiling May | G |
| Come not till March has first prepared the way | G |
