March Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCDDEFFEGG

Like some reformer who with mien austereA
Neglected dress and loud insistent tonesB
More rasping than the wrongs which she bemoansB
Walks through the land and wearies all who hearC
While yet we know the need of such reformD
So comes unlovely March with wind and stormD
To break the spell of winter and set freeE
The poisoned brooks and crocus beds oppressedF
Severe of face gaunt armed and wildly dressedF
She is not fair nor beautiful to seeE
But merry April and sweet smiling MayG
Come not till March has first prepared the wayG
