Love's Coming Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH JKLK

She had looked for his coming as warriors comeA
With the clash of arms and the bugle's callB
But he came instead with a stealthy treadC
Which she did not hear at allB
-
She had thought how his armor would blaze in the sunD
As he rode like a prince to claim his brideE
In the sweet dim light of the falling nightF
She found him at her sideE
-
She had dreamed how the gaze of his strange bold eyeG
Would wake her heart to a sudden glowH
She found in his face the familiar graceI
Of a friend she used to knowH
-
She had dreamed how his coming would stir her soulJ
As the ocean is stirred by the wild storm's strifeK
He brought her the balm of a heavenly calmL
And a peace which crowned her lifeK
