Lincoln Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DDEEFF

When God created this good worldA
A few stupendous peaks were hurledA
From His strong hand and they remainB
The wonder of the level plainB
But these colossal heights are rareC
While shifting sands are everywhereC
-
So with the race The centuries passD
And nations fall like leaves of grassD
They die forgotten and unsungE
While straight from God some souls are flungE
To live immortal and sublimeF
So lives great Lincoln for all timeF
