Life (ii) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDEEB EFGHFEEF IJEEKCCK FLEELEEL

Oh I feel the growing gloryA
Of our life upon this sphereB
Of the life that like a riverC
Runs forever and foreverC
From the somewhere to the hereD
And still on and onward flowingE
Leads us out to larger knowingE
Through the hidden to the clearB
-
And I feel a deep thanksgivingE
For the sorrows I have knownF
For the worries and the crossesG
And the grieving and the lossesH
That along my path were sownF
Now the great eternal meaningE
Of each trouble I am gleaningE
And the harvest is my ownF
-
I am opulent with knowledgeI
Of the Purpose and the CauseJ
And I go my way rejoicingE
And in singing seek the voicingE
Of love's never failing lawsK
From the now unto the YonderC
Full of beauty and of wonderC
Life flows ever without pauseK
-
And I feel the exaltationF
Of a child that loves its playL
Though the ranks of friends are thinningE
Still the end is but beginningE
Of a larger fuller dayL
And the joy of life is spillingE
From my spirit as all willingE
I go speeding on my wayL
