I see with the spirit's sight | B |
That many a nauseous weed of wrong | A |
Has root in a seed of right | B |
For evil is good that has gone astray | C |
And sorrow is only blindness | D |
And the world is always under the sway | C |
Of a changeless law of kindness | D |

The commonest error a truth can make | E |
Is shouting its sweet voice hoarse | F |
And sin is only the soul's mistake | E |
In misdirecting its force | F |
And love the fairest of all fair things | G |
That ever to man descended | H |
Grows rank with nettles and poisonous things | G |
Unless it is watched and tended | H |

There could not be anything better than this | I |
Old world in the way it began | J |
And though some matters have gone amiss | I |
From the great original plan | J |
And however dark the skies may appear | K |
And however souls may blunder | L |
I tell you it all will work out clear | K |
