In Memoriam Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFG CHIHJKLK MNOPOPAP AQRQSTJT

Looking some papers overA
Dusty and dim and oldB
I found some words that thrilled meC
With their ring of genuine goldB
Words that were better than rubiesD
And they stirred me even to tearsE
For the hand that wrote them has restedF
Under the sod for yearsG
-
-
O name to be spoken softlyC
O sainted Thurlow BrownH
The world lost one of its heroesI
When he dropped the cross for the crownH
And the cause he loved and fought forJ
Lost more than my tongue can tellK
For he left no soul behind himL
That could do the work so wellK
-
-
When I think of his mighty laborsM
My own seem weak and vainN
And I know that his place in the vineyardO
Can never be filled againP
But the burning words that he utteredO
Or that dropped like coals from his penP
Shall live for ever and everA
In the hearts and minds of menP
-
-
O God if spirits do everA
Come down from heaven on highQ
Let the spirit of this great heroR
Sometimes be hovering nighQ
And give him the power to guide usS
In all that we do or sayT
For the cause he loved and fought forJ
Oh grant it Lord I prayT
