In England Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEFF GHGHII JKJKLL MNMNOPP

In England there are wrongs no doubtA
Which should be righted so men sayB
Who seek to weed earth's garden outA
And give the roses right of wayB
Yes right of way to fruit and roseC
Where now but poison ivy growsC
-
In England there is wide unrestD
They tell me who should know And yetE
I saw but hedges gaily dressedD
And eyes where love and kindness metE
Yes love and kindness met and madeF
Soft sunshine even in the shadeF
-
In England there are haunting thingsG
Which follow one to other landsH
Like some pervading scent that clingsG
To laces touched by vanished handsH
Yes touched by vanished hands that gaveI
A fragrance which defies the graveI
-
In England centuries of artJ
Give common things a mellow toneK
And wake old memories in the heartJ
Of other lives the soul has knownK
Yes other lives in some past ageL
Start forth from canvas or from pageL
-
In England there are simple joysM
The modern world has left all sweetN
In London's heart are nooks where noiseM
Has entered but with slippered feetN
Yes entered softlyO
Friend believeP
To part from England is to grieveP
