If I Could Only Weep Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA ACCA ADDA AEFA

If I could only weepA
I think sweet help with my salt tears would comeB
To ease the cruel pain that is so dumbB
And will not let me sleepA
-
Down in my heart down deepA
A poisoned arrow burns It would fall outC
And tears would wash the wound I have no doubtC
If I could only weepA
-
Maybe my pulse would leapA
And bring one thrill back of a vanished dayD
Instead of throbbing in this dull dead wayD
If I could only weepA
-
O silent Fates who steepA
Nectar or gall for us through all the yearsE
Take what thou wilt but give me back my tearsF
And let me weep and weepA
