I Will Be Worthy Of It Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBCDDA EFEFCCA GHGHIIA

ItA
I may not reach the heights I seekB
My untried strength may fail meC
Or halfway up the mountain peakB
Fierce tempests may assail meC
But though that place I never gainD
Herein lies the comfort for my painD
I will be worthy of itA
-
I may not triumph in successE
Despite my earnest labourF
I may not grasp results that blessE
The efforts of my neighbourF
But though my goal I never seeC
This thought shall always dwell with meC
I will be worthy of itA
-
The golden glory of Love s lightG
May never fall on my wayH
My path may always lead through nightG
Like some deserted by wayH
But though life s dearest joy I missI
There lies a nameless strength in thisI
I will be worthy of itA
