Hidden Gems Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFGF GCHC

We know not what lies in us till we seekA
Men dive for pearls they are not found on shoreB
The hillsides most unpromising and bleakA
Do sometimes hide the oreB
-
Go dive in the vast ocean of thy mindC
O man far down below the noisy wavesD
Down in the depths and silence thou mayst findC
Rare pearls and coral cavesD
-
Sink thou a shaft into the mine of thoughtE
Be patient like the seekers after goldF
Under the rocks and rubbish lieth whatG
May bring thee wealth untoldF
-
Reflected from the vastly InfiniteG
However dulled by earth each human mindC
Holds somewhere gems of beauty and of lightH
Which seeking thou shalt findC
