Ghosts Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH IJIJ KLKL

There are ghosts in the roomA
As I sit here alone from the dark corners thereB
They come out of the gloomA
And they stand at my side and they lean on my chairB
-
There's the ghost of a HopeC
That lighted my days with a fanciful glowD
In her hand is the ropeC
That strangled her life out Hope was slain long agoD
-
But her ghost comes to nightE
With its skeleton face and expressionless eyesF
And it stands in the lightE
And mocks me and jeers me with sobs and with sighsF
-
There's the ghost of a JoyG
A frail fragile thing and I prized it too muchH
And the hands that destroyG
Clasped it close and it died at the withering touchH
-
There's the ghost of a LoveI
Born with joy reared with hope died in pain and unrestJ
But he towers aboveI
All the others this ghost yet a ghost at the bestJ
-
I am weary and fainK
Would forget all these dead but the gibbering hostL
Make my struggle in vainK
In each shadowy corner there lurketh a ghostL
