Existence Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCDAAD CECEFFGHHG IJKJIKLCCL CMCMNOPHHP

You are here and you are wantedA
Though a waif upon life's stairB
Though the sunlit hours are hauntedA
With the shadowy shapes of careB
Still the Great One the All SeeingC
Called your spirit into beingC
Gave you strength for any fateD
Since your life by Him was neededA
All your ways by Him are heededA
You can trust and you can waitD
-
You can wait to know the meaningC
Of the troubles sent your soulE
Of the chasms interveningC
'Twixt your purpose and your goalE
Of the sorrows and the trialsF
Of the silence and denialsF
Ofttimes answering to your pleasG
Of the stinted sweets of pleasureH
And of pain's too generous measureH
You can wait the WHY of theseG
-
Forth from planet unto planetI
You have gone and you will goJ
Space is vast but we must span itK
For life's purpose is TO KNOWJ
Earth retains you but a minuteI
Make the best of what lies in itK
Light the pathway where you areL
There is nothing worth the doingC
That will leave regret or rueingC
As you speed from star to starL
-
You are part of the BeginningC
You are parcel of To dayM
When He set His world to spinningC
You were flung upon your wayM
When the system falls to piecesN
When this pulsing epoch ceasesO
When the IS becomes the WASP
You will live for you will enterH
In the great Creative CentreH
In the All Enduring CauseP
