Drouth Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A B B A A B B A C D E D F F

Why do we pity those who weep The painA
-
That finds a ready outlet in the flowB
-
Of salt and bitter tears is blessed woeB
-
And does not need our sympathies The rainA
-
But fits the shorn field for new yield of grainA
-
While the red brazen skies the sun's fierce glowB
-
The dry hot winds that from the tropics blowB
-
Do parch and wither the unsheltered plainA
-
The anguish that through long remorseless yearsC
-
Looks out upon the world with no reliefD
-
Of sudden tempests or slow dripping tearsE
-
The still unuttered silent wordless griefD
-
That evermore doth ache and ache and acheF
-
This is the sorrow wherewith hearts do breakF
