Deep Unto Deep Was Calling Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDE FGHGDIDI BABAAAAA JKAKDADA

They rode through the bannered cityA
The King and the CommonerB
And the hopes of the world were with themC
And the heart of the world was astirB
For the moss grown walls seemed fallingD
That have shut away men from KingsE
And Deep unto Deep was callingD
For the coming of greater thingsE
-
They rode to an age old PalaceF
Where the feet of the Mighty goG
A Palace that stands unshakenH
Despite the boast of the foeG
And the King from Kings descendingD
And the Man of the People's choiceI
In a Super Man seemed blendingD
And they spoke as with one voiceI
-
And one voice now and for everB
Will speak from sea to seaA
Wherever the British BannerB
And the Starry Flag float freeA
For our fettering chains are sunderedA
By the evil that turned to goodA
And Deep unto Deep has thunderedA
Its message of BrotherhoodA
-
It was not a pageant of VictorsJ
Or a triumph hour of manK
That ride through the bannered CityA
It was part of a Mighty PlanK
And the sound of old barriers fallingD
Rose there where those Rulers trodA
For Deep unto Deep was callingD
In the resonant Voice of GodA
