Credulity Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF

If fallacies come knocking at my doorA
I'd rather feed and shelter full a scoreA
Than hide behind the black portcullis doubtB
And run the risk of barring one Truth outB
-
And if pretension for a time deceiveC
And prove me one too ready to believeC
Far less my shame than if by stubborn actD
I brand as lie some great colossal FactD
-
On my soul's door the latch string hangs outsideE
Within the lighted candle Let me guideE
Some errant follies on their wandering wayF
Rather than Wisdom give no welcoming rayF
