| Than making beauty Can the mind conceive | B |
| One little corner in celestial realms | C |
| Unbeautiful or dull or commonplace | D |
| Or picture ugly angels illy clad | E |
| Beauty and splendour opulence and joy | F |
| Are attributes of God and His domain | G |
| And so are worth and virtue But why preach | H |
| Of virtue only to the sons of men | I |
| Ignoring beauty till they think it sin | J |
| Why if each dweller on this little globe | K |
| Could know the sacred meaning of that word | L |
| And understand its deep significance | M |
| Men's thoughts would form in beauty till their dreams | N |
| Of heaven would find expression in their lives | O |
| However humble they themselves would grow | P |
| Godlike befitting such a fair estate | Q |
| Let us be done with what is only good | R |
| Demanding here and now the beautiful | S |
| Lest with the mind and eye on earth untrained | T |
| We shall be ill at ease when heaven is gained | T |
