At Set Of Sun Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: AABCCBDD EEFGGHII JJKLLKMNIf we sit down at set of sun | A |
And count the things that we have done | A |
And counting find | B |
One self denying act one word | C |
That eased the heart of him who heard | C |
One glance most kind | B |
That fell like sunshine where it went | D |
Then we may count that day well spent | D |
- | |
Or on the other hand if we | E |
In looking through the day can see | E |
A place or spot | F |
Where we an unkind act put down | G |
Or where we smiled when wont to frown | G |
Or crushed some thought | H |
That cumbered the heart ground where it stood | I |
Then we may count that day as good | I |
- | |
But if through all the life long day | J |
We've eased no heart by yea or nay | J |
If through it all | K |
We've done no thing that we can trace | L |
That brought the sunshine to a face | L |
No act most small | K |
That helped some soul and nothing cost | M |
Then count that day as worse than lost | N |
