An Inspiration Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHIHJEFE KLMLNEFE GOPOQEFE

However the battle is endedA
Though proudly the victor comesB
With fluttering flags and prancing nagsC
And echoing roll of drumsB
Still truth proclaims this mottoD
In letters of living lightE
No Question is ever settledF
Until it is settled rightE
-
Though the heel of the strong oppressorG
May grind the weak to dustH
And the voices of fame with one acclaimI
May call him great and justH
Let those who applaud take warningJ
And keep this motto in sightE
No question is ever settledF
Until it is settled rightE
-
Let those who have failed take courageK
Tho' the enemy seems to have wonL
Tho' his ranks are strong if he be in the wrongM
The battle is not yet doneL
For as sure as the morning followsN
The darkest hour of the nightE
No question is ever settledF
Until it is settled rightE
-
O man bowed down with laborG
O woman young yet oldO
O heart oppressed in the toiler's breastP
And crushed by the power of goldO
Keep on with your weary battleQ
Against triumphant mightE
No question is ever settledF
Until it is settled rightE
