A Strain Of Music Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHCHIJKL IMNMOPGP DQRQISTU

In through the open windowA
To the chamber where I layB
There came the beat of merry feetC
From the dancers over the wayB
And back on the wings of the musicD
That rose on the midnight airE
My rare youth came and spoke my nameF
And lo I was young and fairE
-
Once more in the glitter of gaslightG
I stood in my life's glad primeH
And heart and feet in a rhythm sweetC
Were keeping the music's timeH
Like a leaf in the breeze of summerI
I drifted down the hallJ
On an arm that is cold with death and mouldK
And is hidden under the pallL
-
Once more at a low voice's whisperI
A voice that is long since stilledM
I felt the flush of a rising blushN
And my pulses leaped and thrilledM
Once more in a sea of facesO
I only saw one faceP
And life grew bright with a new delightG
And sweet with a nameless graceP
-
A crash of passionate musicD
A hush and a silence thenQ
The dancers rest in their pleasure questR
And lo I am old againQ
Old and alone in my chamberI
While the night wears wearily onS
And the pallid wraith of a broken faithT
Keeps watch with me till the dawnU
