The End Of Beauty Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC DE FG HIC JK LM MG

There are always fields filledA
with flowers or something sweeping like windB
tickling the hairs of your arm that sinking feelingC
-
of death stalking you There are birds there are alwaysD
birds swooping from rooftopsE
-
their sinewy wings like flaps of newspaperF
caught in an explanation There are absolutelyG
-
no flowers and no moon to carry offH
a woman from her laundry to some ancient sea The black locustI
a swing roped to it the worn seat swayingC
-
in gusts announces the rain Bedsheets poundJ
in the wind their floral patterns dissolving into nightK
-
The sky and rain darken the streetsL
hush an apology something to soothe the painM
-
and rain continues flowing through crevasse to drainM
which lets it run again into the seaG
