Rhyme Scheme: ABCDD AEFGG HHIJJ

It is so peaceful on the ceilingA
It is the Place de la ConcordeB
The little crystal chandelierC
is off the fountain is in the darkD
Not a soul is in the parkD
-
Below where the wallpaper is peelingA
the Jardin des Plantes has locked its gatesE
Those photographs are animalsF
The mighty flowers and foliage rustleG
under the leaves the insects tunnelG
-
We must go under the wallpaperH
to meet the insect gladiatorH
to battle with a net and tridentI
and leave the fountain and the squareJ
But oh that we could sleep up thereJ
