An April Squall Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCB DDEFFF AAGHIG FFJKKJ LLMNNM

Breathless is the deep blue skyA
Breathless doth the blue sea lieA
And scarcely can my heart believeB
'Neath such a sky on such a waveC
That Heaven can frown and billows raveC
Or Beauty so divine deceiveB
-
Softly sail we with the tideD
Silently our bark doth glideD
Above our heads no clouds appearE
Only in the West afarF
A dark spot like a baneful starF
Doth herald tempests dark and drearF
-
And now the wind is heard to sighA
The waters heave unquietlyA
The Heaven above is darkly scowlingG
Down with the sail They come they comeH
Loos'd from the depths of their wintry homeI
The wild fiends of the storm are howlingG
-
Hold tight and tug at the straining oarF
For the wind is rising more and moreF
Row like a man through the dashing brineJ
Row on already the squall is pastK
No more the sky is overcastK
Again the sun doth brightly shineJ
-
Oh higher far is the well earn'd blissL
Of quiet after a storm like thisL
Than all the joys of selfish easeM
'Tis thus I would row o'er the sea of LifeN
Thus force my way through the roar and strifeN
And win repose by toils like theseM
