Sonnets On Separation I Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDEFGFGHH| The time shall be old Wisdom says when you | A |
| Shall grow awrinkled and I indifferent | B |
| Shall no more follow the light steps I knew | A |
| Or trace you finding out the way you went | C |
| By swinging branches and the displaced flowers | D |
| Among the thickets I no more shall stand | E |
| With careful pencil through the adoring hours | D |
| Scratching your grace on paper My still hand | E |
| No more shall tremble at the touch of yours | F |
| And I'll write no more songs and you'll not sing | G |
| But this is all a lie for love endures | F |
| And we shall closer kiss remembering | G |
| How budding trees turned barren in the sun | H |
| Through this long week whereof one day's now done | H |
