Song: Love In The Open Air Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD AEAE FBFB

I'll love you in the open airA
But stuffy rooms and blazing firesB
And mirrors with familiar stareA
Cloak and befoul my high desiresB
-
The dearest day that I have knownC
Was in the fields when driving rainD
Was like a veil around us thrownC
A grey close veil without a stainD
-
The young oak tree was stripped and bareA
But naked twigs a shelter madeE
Where curious cows came round to stareA
And stood astonished and dismayedE
-
Let it be rain or summer sunF
Smell of wet earth or scent of flowersB
Love once more give me give me oneF
Of these enchanted lover's hoursB
