Song For An Unwritten Play Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB BBCD BBEE FFBB

The moon's a drowsy fool to nightA
Wrapped in fleecy clouds and whiteA
And all the while EndymionB
Sleeps on Latmos top aloneB
-
Not a single star is seenB
They are gathered round their queenB
Keeping vigil by her bedC
Patient and unweari dD
-
Now the poet drops his penB
And moves about like other menB
Tom o' Bedlam now is stillE
And sleeps beneath the hawthorn'd hillE
-
Only the Latmian shepherd deemsF
Something missing from his dreamsF
And tosses as he sleeps aloneB
Alas alas EndymionB
