To The River Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACCB DDDDEDED

Fair river in thy bright clear flowA
Of crystal wandering waterB
Thou art an emblem of the glowA
Of beauty the unhidden heartC
The playful maziness of artC
In old Alberto's daughterB
-
But when within thy wave she looksD
Which glistens then and tremblesD
Why then the prettiest of brooksD
Her worshipper resemblesD
For in his heart as in thy streamE
Her image deeply liesD
His heart which trembles at the beamE
Of her soul searching eyesD
