To My Mother Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDDCDCEE

Because I feel that in the Heavens aboveA
The angels whispering to one anotherB
Can find among their burning terms of loveA
None so devotional as that of MotherB
Therefore by that dear name I long have called youC
You who are more than mother unto meD
And fill my heart of hearts where Death installed youC
In setting my Virginia's spirit freeD
My mother my own mother who died earlyD
Was but the mother of myself but youC
Are mother to the one I loved so dearlyD
And thus are dearer than the mother I knewC
By that infinity with which my wifeE
Was dearer to my soul than its soul lifeE
