The Valley Of Unrest Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEEFGGHHIIIJJKL LMMNNOO

Once it smiled a silent dellA
Where the people did not dwellA
They had gone unto the warsB
Trusting to the mild eyed starsC
Nightly from their azure towersD
To keep watch above the flowersD
In the midst of which all dayE
The red sun light lazily layE
Now each visitor shall confessF
The sad valley's restlessnessG
Nothing there is motionlessG
Nothing save the airs that broodH
Over the magic solitudeH
Ah by no wind are stirred those treesI
That palpitate like the chill seasI
Around the misty HebridesI
Ah by no wind those clouds are drivenJ
That rustle through the unquiet HeavenJ
Unceasingly from morn till evenK
Over the violets there that lieL
In myriad types of the human eyeL
Over the lilies that waveM
And weep above a nameless graveM
They wave from out their fragrant topsN
Eternal dews come down in dropsN
They weep from off their delicate stemsO
Perennial tears descend in gemsO
