Eulalie Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBBCCDEEDDFDGHIJJI II

I dwelt aloneA
In a world of moanA
And my soul was a stagnant tideB
Till the fair and gentle Eulalie became my blushing brideB
Till the yellow haired young Eulalie became my smiling brideB
Ah less less brightC
The stars of the nightC
Than the eyes of the radiant girlD
And never a flakeE
That the vapor can makeE
With the moon tints of purple and pearlD
Can vie with the modest Eulalie's most unregarded curlD
Can compare with the bright eyed Eulalie's most humble and carelessF
curlD
Now Doubt now PainG
Come never againH
For her soul gives me sigh for sighI
And all day longJ
Shines bright and strongJ
Astarte within the skyI
While ever to her dear Eulalie upturns her matron eyeI
While ever to her young Eulalie upturns her violet eyeI
