Enigma Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCAADEFFGGHH

The noblest name in Allegory's pageA
The hand that traced inexorable rageA
A pleasing moralist whose page refinedB
Displays the deepest knowledge of the mindB
A tender poet of a foreign tongueC
Indited in the language that he sungC
A bard of brilliant but unlicensed pageA
At once the shame and glory of our ageA
The prince of harmony and stirling senseD
The ancient dramatist of eminenceE
The bard that paints imagination's powersF
And him whose song revives departed hoursF
Once more an ancient tragic bard recallG
In boldness of design surpassing allG
These names when rightly read a name make knownH
Which gathers all their glories in its ownH
