What To Do Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHHHIJEJ FGKGLBEB ABCBFMBM

IF I had wealth and I had healthA
And I 'd a roof above meB
If I'd a wife to cheer my lifeC
But not one child to love meB
No rosy lipped young laughing missD
No bright eyed roguish laddieE
I 'd search the town both up and downF
Till one should call me daddieE
-
I would not have a roof that ne'erG
Knew sound of childish chatterH
Nor keep a floor unlettered o'erH
By little feet that patterH
Nor would I hang upon my wallsI
Great pictures just to show themJ
Unless a tot had left a lotE
Of finger marks below themJ
-
I would not like to settle downF
Within my old armchairG
And take my ease with empty kneesK
I want a youngster thereG
Likewise with everything I haveL
How incomplete 't would beB
Unless I had a girl or ladE
To share it all with meB
-
And so I say if I had wealthA
And had a roof above meB
If I 'd a wife to cheer my lifeC
But had no child to love meB
Then I would search both up and downF
To beg or buy or borrowM
A child to be a part of meB
I 'd have one here tomorrowM
