Whose conduct very often is a fright | B |
She says that she can trust him anywhere | D |
An' know he'd never think of doing wrong | E |
But when he meets a widow young an' fair | D |
Ma never leaves them chatting very long | E |

An' she is very thankful too for that | F |
She says she knows he'd never go too far | C |
Besides he's growing old an' bald an' fat | F |
But just the same when we have friends for tea | G |
An' Ma has shown 'em where their places are | C |
Although she trusts him most implicitly | G |
She never puts the pretty girls by Pa | A |
