To The Humble Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD AEAEABAB AFAFAGAG HIHJAKAK LDLDHBHB

If all the flowers were rosesA
If never daisies grewB
If no old fashioned posiesA
Drank in the morning dewB
Then man might have some reasonC
To whimper and complainD
And speak these words of treasonC
That all our toil is vainD
-
If all the stars were SaturnsA
That twinkle in the nightE
Of equal size and patternsA
And equally as brightE
Then men in humble placesA
With humble work to doB
With frowns upon their facesA
Might trudge their journey throughB
-
But humble stars and posiesA
Still do their best althoughF
They're planets not nor rosesA
To cheer the world belowF
And those old fashioned daisiesA
Delight the soul of manG
They're here and this their praise isA
They work the Master's planG
-
Though humble be your laborH
And modest be your sphereI
Come envy not your neighborH
Whose light shines brighter hereJ
Does God forget the daisiesA
Because the roses bloomK
Shall you not win His praisesA
By toiling at your loomK
-
Have you the toiler humbleL
Just reason to complainD
To shirk your task and grumbleL
And think that it is vainD
Because you see a brotherH
With greater work to doB
No fame of his can smotherH
The merit that's in youB
