The Vote Of Thanks Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDE AFGFHEHE IJKJLEME DNONPEPE

FOR every man who works there areA
A dozen who will let himB
They'll smiling bask within the shadeC
The while his duties fret himB
And when his arduous tasks are doneD
From out the idle ranksE
There promptly steps a grateful oneD
To move a vote of thanksE
-
Where more than three foregathered areA
In meeting club or lodgeF
Some cheerful soul must do the workG
That all the others dodgeF
Some one for all must toil and planH
Some one the money banksE
For which the shirkers to a manH
Will move a vote of thanksE
-
The many spend their hours in easeI
While busy are the fewJ
The glory of the game they wantK
But not its work to doJ
Untroubled here on earth they liveL
The strength that's in their shanksE
They save to those who toil to giveM
A rising vote of thanksE
-
Some day when all the work is doneD
And rest has settled downN
Perhaps the weary toiler thenO
Will wear a golden crownN
Upon his breast may medals flashP
And at the Heavenly banksE
Perhaps they'll even let him cashP
Those rising votes of thanksE
