Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGDGD HIHIGDGD

He tore the curtains yesterdayA
And scratched the paper on the wallB
Ma's rubbers too have gone astrayA
She says she left them in the hallB
He tugged the table cloth and brokeC
A fancy saucer and a cupD
Though Bud and I think it a jokeC
Ma scolds a lot about the pupD
-
The sofa pillows are a sightE
The rugs are looking somewhat frayedF
And there is ruin left and rightE
That little Boston bull has madeF
He slept on Buddy's counterpaneG
Ma found him there when she woke upD
I think it needless to explainG
She scolds a lot about the pupD
-
And yet he comes and licks her handH
And sometimes climbs into her lapI
And there Bud lets me understandH
He very often takes his napI
And Bud and I have learned to knowG
She wouldn't give the rascal upD
She's really fond of him althoughG
She scolds a lot about the pupD
