The Fellowship Of Books Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBB BDBEFG FHIJIK ALAMBNB

I care not who the man may beA
Nor how his tasks may fret himB
Nor where he fares nor how his caresC
And troubles may beset himB
If books have won the love of himB
-
Whatever fortune hands himB
He'll always own when he's aloneD
A friend who understands himB
Though other friends may come and goE
And some may stoop to treasonF
His books remain through loss or gainG
-
And season after seasonF
The faithful friends for every moodH
His joy and sorrow sharingI
For old time's sake they'll lighter makeJ
The burdens he is bearingI
Oh he has counsel at his sideK
-
And wisdom for his dutyA
And laughter gay for hours of playL
And tenderness and beautyA
And fellowship divinely rareM
True friends who never doubt himB
Unchanging love and God aboveN
Who keeps good books about himB
