Sticky Fingers Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDCE CFCGHIHJ KLKLMNON DPDPQHQH

I doA
Full many a time has she exclaimedB
'A month ago that suit was newA
Now look at all the dreadful stainsC
That mar the coat and spoil the vestD
It seems to me if you'd take painsC
Your clothing wouldn't get so messed 'E
-
But I am proud of all those stainsC
I do not care for garments cleanF
For every shining mark explainsC
Where sticky little hands have beenG
Each smudge is but a symbol ofH
A roguish youngster's fond caressI
A badge of trusting constant loveH
A token of real happinessJ
-
I may be careless in my wayK
Perhaps my clothes are a disgraceL
But when that baby comes to playK
And holds me in her fond embraceL
I love her sticky fingers moreM
Than any tailored suit of mineN
And she may thumb my garments o'erO
For every spot she leaves is fineN
-
I wish no spotless coat and vestD
If baby hands I have to checkP
It matters not how I am dressedD
I want her arms about my neckP
Yes finger marked my clothes may beQ
But they are marks I'm proudest ofH
Let sticky fingers come to meQ
And stamp me with their seals of loveH
