Peace Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEFF

A man must earn his hour of peaceA
Must pay for it with hours of strife and careB
Must win by toil the evening's sweet releaseA
The rest that may be portioned for his shareB
The idler never knows it never canC
Peace is the glory ever of a manC
-
A man must win contentment for his soulD
Must battle for it bravely day by dayE
The peace he seeks is not a near by goalD
To claim it he must tread a rugged wayE
The shirker never knows a tranquil breastF
Peace but rewards the man who does his bestF
