Mother's Day Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCBDD EEFBBFGG HHIJJIKK AALJJLCC

Let every day be Mother's DayA
Make roses grow along her wayA
And beauty everywhereB
Oh never let her eyes be wetC
With tears of sorrow or regretC
And never cease to careB
Come grown up children and rejoiceD
That you can hear your mother's voiceD
-
A day for her For you she gaveE
Long years of love and service braveE
For you her youth was spentF
There was no weight of hurt or careB
Too heavy for her strength to bearB
She followed where you wentF
Her courage and her love sublimeG
You could depend on all the timeG
-
No day or night she set apartH
On which to open wide her heartH
And welcome you withinI
There was no hour you would not beJ
First in her thought and memoryJ
Though you were black as sinI
Though skies were gray or skies were blueK
Not once has she forgotten youK
-
Let every day be Mother's DayA
With love and roses strew her wayA
And smiles of joy and prideL
Come grown up children to the kneeJ
Where long ago you used to beJ
And never turn asideL
Oh never let her eyes grow wetC
With tears because her babes forgetC
