Marjorie Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDFGHGHIJIJKLKL MNON

The house is as it was when she was hereA
There's nothing changed at all about the placeB
The books she loved to read are waiting nearC
As if to morrow they would see her faceB
Her room remains the way it used to beD
Here are the puzzles that she pondered onE
Yet since the angels called for MarjorieD
The joyous spirit of the home has goneF
All things grew lovely underneath her touchG
The room was bright because it knew her smileH
From her the tiniest trinket gathered muchG
The cheapest toy became a thing worth whileH
Yet here are her possessions as they wereI
No longer joys to set the eyes aglowJ
To day as we they seem to mourn for herI
And share the sadness that is ours to knowJ
Half sobbing now we put her games awayK
Because dumb things they cannot understandL
Why never more shall Marjorie come to playK
And we have faith in God at our commandL
These toys we smiled at once now start our tearsM
They seem to wonder why they lie so stillN
They call her name and will throughout the yearsO
God strengthen us to bow unto Thy willN
