If You Would Please Me Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDEDFF

If you would please me when I've passed awayA
Let not your grief embitter you Be braveB
Turn with full courage from my mounded graveB
And smile upon the children at their playA
Let them make merry in their usual wayA
Do not with sorrow those young lives enslaveB
Or steal from them the fleeting joys they craveB
Let not your grieving spoil their happy dayA
Live on as you have lived these many yearsC
Still let your soul be gentle and be kindD
I never liked to see those eyes in tearsE
Weep not too much that you must stay behindD
Share in the lives of others as you'd shareF
If God had willed it still to leave me thereF
