Everywhere In America Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDFGHG CIJIKLCLMMCNON PAQAERSRHTUTAVA

Not somewhere in America but everywhere to dayA
Where snow crowned mountains hold their headsB
the vales where children playA
Beside the bench and whirring lathe on everyC
lake and streamD
And in the depths of earth below men share aE
common dreamD
The dream our brave forefathers had of freedomF
and of rightG
And once again in honor's cause they rally andH
uniteG
-
Not somewhere in America is love of countryC
foundI
But east and west and north and south onceJ
more the bugles soundI
And once again as one men stand to breakK
their brother's chainsL
And make the world a better place where onlyC
justice reignsL
The patriotism that is here is echoed over thereM
The hero at a certain post is on guard everywhereM
O'er humble home and mansion rich the starryC
banner fliesN
And far and near throughout the land the menO
of valor riseN
-
The flag that flutters o'er your home is flutteringP
far awayA
O'er homes that you have never seen The sameQ
impulses swayA
The souls of men in distant states The red theE
white and blueR
Means to one hundred million strong just whatS
it means to youR
The self same courage resolute you feel andH
understandT
Is throbbing in the breasts of men throughoutU
this mighty landT
Not somewhere in America but everywhere to dayA
For justice and for liberty all free men workV
and prayA
