Bud Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDEFFGGHHIIFFJJKK LLFFMMNNOOFF

Who is it lives to the full every minuteA
Gets all the joy and the fun that is in itB
Tough as they make 'em and ready to raceC
Fit for a battle and fit for a chaseC
Heedless of buttons on blouses and pantsD
Laughing at danger and taking a chanceE
Gladdest it seems when he wallows in mudF
Who is the rascal I'll tell you it's BudF
Who is it wakes with a shout of delightG
And comes to our room with a smile that is brightG
Who is it springs into bed with a leapH
And thinks it is queer that his dad wants to sleepH
Who answers his growling with laughter and triesI
His patience by lifting the lids of his eyesI
Who jumps in the air and then lands with a thudF
On his poor daddy's stomach I'll tell you it's BudF
Who is it thinks life is but laughter and playJ
And doesn't know care is a part of the dayJ
Who is reckless of stockings and heedless of shoesK
Who laughs at a tumble and grins at a bruiseK
Who climbs over fences and clambers up treesL
And scrapes all the skin off his shins and his kneesL
Who sometimes comes home all bespattered with bloodF
That was drawn by a fall It's that rascal called BudF
Yet who is it makes all our toiling worth whileM
Who can cure every ache that we know by his smileM
Who is prince to his mother and king to his dadN
And makes us forget that we ever were sadN
Who is center of all that we dream of and planO
Our baby to day but to morrow our manO
It's that tough little rough little tyke in the mudF
That tousled haired fun loving rascal called BudF
