All For The Best Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCDEEFF BGGHHIIJJ KHHLLMMNNOO APKOOQQNN

Things mostly happen for the bestA
However hard it seems to dayB
When some fond plan has gone astrayB
Or what you've wished for most is lostC
An' you sit countin' up the costD
With eyes half blind by tears o' griefE
While doubt is chokin' out beliefE
You'll find when all is understoodF
That what seemed bad was really goodF
-
Life can't be counted in a dayB
The present rain that will not stopG
Next autumn means a bumper cropG
We wonder why some things must beH
Care's purpose we can seldom seeH
An' yet long afterwards we turnI
To view the past an' then we learnI
That what once filled our minds with doubtJ
Was good for us as it worked outJ
-
I've never known an hour of careK
But that I've later come to seeH
That it has brought some joy to meH
Even the sorrows I have borneL
Leavin' me lonely an' forlornL
An' hurt an' bruised an' sick at heartM
In life's great plan have had a partM
An' though I could not understandN
Why I should bow to Death's commandN
As time went on I came to knowO
That it was really better soO
-
Things mostly happen for the bestA
So narrow is our vision hereP
That we are blinded by a tearK
An' stunned by every hurt an' blowO
Which comes to day to strike us lowO
An' yet some day we turn an' findQ
That what seemed cruel once was kindQ
Most things I hold are wisely plannedN
If we could only understandN
