A
If in spite of all your grouchesB
Troubles on you have kept pilingC
If regardless of your kickingC
And your cussing they're still stickingC
Why not switch your tactics misterD
And try smilingC
-
If your frowning will not chase 'emE
Why not grin a bit and face 'emE
If your worries seem to like itF
When your meanness they are rilingC
If your gloomy dispositionG
Doesn't better your conditionG
Why not switch your methods misterD
And try smilingC
-
If your constant whining swearingC
Do not better your wayfaringC
If you find your foes no kinderD
After them you've been revilingC
If they keep right on assailingC
Quite regardless of your wailingC
Why not switch your style of warfareH
And try smilingC
