The wisdom to be brave and true | A |
The gift of vision clear | C |
That in each task that comes to me | D |
Some purpose I may plainly see | D |

Am stationed at a post | F |
Although the humblest 'neath the sky | E |
Where I am needed most | F |
And that at last if I do well | G |
My humble services will tell | G |

God grant me faith to stand on guard | H |
Uncheered unspoke alone | I |
And see behind such duty hard | H |
My service to the throne | I |
Whate'er my task this be my creed | J |
I am on earth to fill a need | J |
