A Feller's Hat Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDE FFGGHHII FFJJKKLL MMBBNNII

It's funny 'bout a feller's hatA
He can't remember where it's atA
Or where he took it off or whenB
The time he's wantin' it againB
He knows just where he leaves his shoesC
His sweater he won't often loseC
An' he can find his rubbers butD
He can't tell where his hat is putE
-
A feller's hat gets anywhereF
Sometimes he'll find it in a chairF
Or on the sideboard or maybeG
It's in the kitchen just where heG
Gave it a toss beside the sinkH
When he came in to get a drinkH
An' then forgot but anyhowI
He never knows where it is nowI
-
A feller's hat is never whereF
He thinks it is when he goes thereF
It's never any use to lookJ
For it upon a closet hookJ
'Cause it is always in some placeK
It shouldn't be to his disgraceK
An' he will find it like as notL
Behind some radiator hotL
-
A feller's hat can get awayM
From him most any time of dayM
So he can't ever find it whenB
He wants it to go out againB
It hides in corners dark an' grimN
An' seems to want to bother himN
It disappears from sight somehowI
I wish I knew where mine is nowI
