A Christmas Carol Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DDEEFF GGHIJJ AAKKCC

God bless you all this Christmas DayA
And drive the cares and griefs awayA
Oh may the shining Bethlehem starB
Which led the wise men from afarB
Upon your heads good sirs still glowC
To light the path that ye should goC
-
As God once blessed the stable grimD
And made it radiant for HimD
As it was fit to shield His SonE
May thy roof be a holy oneE
May all who come this house to shareF
Rest sweetly in His gracious careF
-
Within thy walls may peace abideG
The peace for which the Savior diedG
Though humble be the rafters hereH
Above them may the stars shine clearI
And in this home thou lovest wellJ
May excellence of spirit dwellJ
-
God bless you all this Christmas DayA
May Bethlehem's star still light thy wayA
And guide thee to the perfect peaceK
When every fear and doubt shall ceaseK
And may thy home such glory knowC
As did the stable long agoC
